The Giants are 5-4 heading into a bye week.
CHARGERS-GIANTS INJURIES
Giants backup linebacker Gerris Wilkinson has wrist injury
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New York Giants backup linebacker Gerris Wilkinson was knocked out of Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers with a wrist injury.

CHARGERS-GIANTS INACTIVES
Boley, Canty return to Giants lineup for Chargers
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Weakside linebacker Michael Boley and defensive tackle Chris Canty returned to the New York Giants for Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers.
Boley has been out about a month after having surgery on his right knee. Canty has not played since sustaining a calf injury in the season opener.
The Giants' defense has given up 112 points in losing its last three games.
Backup defensive end Dave Tollefson was made inactive to clear space for Canty.
Chargers starting inside linebacker Kevin Burnett was inactive for the game with an ankle injury. His status was questionable Friday.
Brandon Siler replaced him in the starting lineup.
TITANS-49ERS
Johnson, Young rally Titans
(Titans 34, 49ers 27.)
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Six plays after his 81-yard touchdown run was overturned, Chris Johnson took a pitch from Vince Young and ran 2 yards for a go-ahead score and led the Tennessee Titans to their second consecutive win with a 34-27 victory over the stumbling San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
Young showed his comeback is legitimate, outplaying fellow first-round draft pick Alex Smith down the stretch. Young has been clutch twice in as many weeks, getting the Titans in the end zone when it mattered.
Johnson converted on fourth and inches for his TD, making up for those six points that were negated only a few minutes earlier after it was determined he stepped out of bounds on the long run.
Going for it when the Titans could have tied it with a field goal was a sign of coach Jeff Fisher's faith in Young and Co. to get it done.
TITANS-49ERS INACTIVES
Kearse inactive again for Titans
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Tennessee defensive end Jevon Kearse is among the Titans' inactives against San Francisco, the fourth consecutive game he hasn't been on the active roster after being listed with a knee injury this week.
Leroy Harris started at right tackle in place of the inactive David Stewart, rookie Gerald McRath replaced David Thornton at outside linebacker, and cornerback Rod Hood stepped in to start for Nick Harper.
Injured left tackle Joe Staley (sprained knee) and cornerback Nate Clements (broken shoulder blade) were on San Francisco's inactive list.
Also before the game, the Titans released receiver and kick returner Chris Davis, a fourth-round pick in 2007 who was arrested for driving under the influence in August, and signed center-guard Fernando Velasco.

CAL-BEST HURT
Cal tailback Jahvid Best released from hospital
BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) — California star tailback Jahvid Best has been released from the hospital and will miss at least one game after sustaining a concussion on a terrifying fall in the end zone.
Best spent the night at Highland General Hospital in Oakland for observation and tests after landing on the back of his head in the end zone and being briefly knocked unconscious in the Golden Bears' 31-14 loss to Oregon State on Saturday night.
The school says results from a CT scan and X-rays came back normal.
Best will not play Saturday against Arizona. His status for future games will continue to be evaluated.
This was the second week in a row that Best sustained a concussion.
Best has 16 touchdowns and 867 rushing yards this season.
PAC-10 RACE
Pac-10 race wide open with 4 weeks to go
STANFORD, Calif. (AP) — Stanford made one thing clear with its upset victory over Pac-10 leader Oregon: There will be a full-fledged scramble for the conference title over a chaotic final four weeks.
With the Ducks losing their first conference game 51-42 to the Cardinal on Saturday, there are five teams with a legitimate shot to at least share the championship and a seemingly infinite number of ways for the race to shake out.
Few thought at the beginning of the season that a scenario with Stanford and Arizona finishing ahead of Southern California and California was a possibility.
But that's just what the standings show after the first Saturday in November.

(Lakers 104, Hornets 88.)

Chris Paul had 15 points and nine assists for the inaccurate Hornets, who opened a three-game West Coast road trip with their fourth loss in five games.

MLS-CHIVAS USA-GALAXY
Landon Donovan penalty shot sends Galaxy to West finals
(Galaxy 1, Chivas USA 0.)
CARSON, Calif. (AP) — Landon Donovan sent the Los Angeles Galaxy to the Western Conference finals by burying a 73rd-minute penalty shot for a 1-0 victory over Chivas USA on Sunday night.
Donovan tied an MLS record with his 16th postseason goal and put the Galaxy through 3-2 on aggregate after a 2-2 tie last week.
The Galaxy will host Houston in a single match Friday night to determine who goes to the MLS Cup final.
Donovan converted after Chivas USA's Yamith Cuesta fouled Mike Magee in the penalty area by wrapping his right leg around Magee's groin in the 70th minute.
David Beckham began the play with a cross to Donovan, who passed to Magee on the right side of the area.
ENGLAND-BECKHAM
Beckham to miss out on England squad after Galaxy win
LONDON (AP) — David Beckham will miss England's friendly against Brazil next week after his MLS club Los Angeles Galaxy beat Chivas USA in the Western Conference semifinals.
Beckham was picked for the England squad yesterday -- but with the understanding that the 34-year-old midfielder would not be available if the Galaxy won their playoff match later in the day.
The Galaxy are playing Houston in next weekend's Western Conference final, when England is in Qatar (GUH'-tur) to face Brazil.
England coach Fabio Capello picked the squad as he prepares for the World Cup next June in South Africa.
AMERICA'S CUP-WING
America's Cup challenger unveils giant wing
SAN DIEGO (AP) — America's Cup challenger BMW Oracle Racing has unveiled what is believed to be the world's largest wing, which it will test as a replacement for a traditional soft-sail rig on its monster trimaran.
Complete with flaps, the wing will tower nearly 190 feet above the deck when it's installed this week. It is longer than the wing of an Airbus 380, the world's largest passenger airliner.
The wing was unveiled five days after the trimaran's 200-foot carbon-fiber mast fell and broke in two during a sail on the Pacific Ocean.
BMW Oracle Racing will face defending champion Alinghi of Switzerland in a best-of-three showdown beginning Feb. 8 for the oldest trophy in international sports.
