MISSION VIEJO, Calif. (CBS) ― Eastern Orange County was struck with a thunderstorm four hours after it was rocked by an earthquake on Sunday.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the Santa Ana Mountains and Orange County cities around Mission Viejo right before 2:30 p.m. A large thunderstorm over Lake Elsinore was moving west at 10 miles per hour.

Rancho Santa Margarita and Lake Forest are also in the warning area. The Weather Service said this storm, like others in the area, is capable of creating 60 mph gusts.

The thunderstorm was centered 8 miles west of Lake Elsinore, the approximate location as the epicenter of the 4.7 magnitude that hit the area at 10:20 a.m.
