Fries With That? O.C. Offers Drive-Thru Voting
SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) ―
Drive-through voting is coming to Orange County.
In a parking lot outside the county registrar's office, drivers will pull into a voting lane where their registration will be checked and then proceed to one of six electronic polling stations where they can roll down the window and cast their vote.
The drive-through will only be offered Oct. 20 -- the last day Californians can register to vote in the presidential election.
Orange County Registrar of Voters Neal Kelley hopes it will inspire people to avoid waiting until the last minute to register.
