Caught On Tape: Panda Babies

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Just like typical youngsters, a group of giant panda cubs is having a grand time in its local playground. The fluffy babies live and play together at a research facility in China's Sichuan Province.

The little guys were caught on tape and shown on The Early Show Friday: 16 cubs, between the ages of 5 and 7 months, according to China's Central Television.

The babies were separated from their mothers soon after birth and grouped together at the center, also known as the panda kindergarten. It comes complete with its own little playground, where the pandas play on the swings and slides and do a lot of wrestling.

The cubs are too young for bamboo, so are fed special milk made by the center. The staff there told CCTV that the babies are in good health and will eventually be divided into two different groups. Some of them will be used for breeding, while the rest will be released back into the wild.
