Landlord Approves Loud Lovemaking
STOCKHOLM, Sweden (AP) ―
In Sweden, loud lovemaking is no cause for evictionduring the daytime.
A landlord has dismissed a complaint from some apartment dwellers who weren't so happy about their amorous neighbors.
Under the Swedish Housing Act, neighbors are not to be disturbed at night by loud noises such as music, TV or even lovemaking. But the law also guarantees tenants' right to a normal family life.
The housing company has decided that getting intimate is a part of normal family life and it's o.k. to express one's enthusiasm during the day.
The company's marketing director likened the afternoon sessions to "babies having colic." She says squalling babies wouldn't be evicted either.
