Ill Mother Attends Daughter's Wedding At Hospital

CORONA (CBS) ― It's every mother's dream to see her daughter walk down the wedding aisle, and a very-ill mother can rest in a Corona hospital Saturday after seeing her daughter wed in a hospital conference room.

 Jeanette Velazquez is hospitalized prior to a kidney cancer operation at Corona Regional Medical Center. Her daughter Lynette rushed forward her big day to make sure mother and daughter could both enjoy it.

 Lynette Velazquez married her childhood sweetheart, Miguel Angel Alvarez, in a ceremony witnessed by dozens of nurses and doctors Friday, the Riverside Press-Enterprise reported.

 The hospital cafeteria baked up a wedding cake, and chaplain Ed Bennett presided at the affair, where "Here Comes The Bride" was played on a boombox.
