It's the time of the season for swimsuits, summer weather and strawberries!
Indulge in strawberry confections and berries freshly plucked off the plant at the
California Strawberry Festival in Oxnard from May 16-17.
Workshops show you how to grow your own strawberries or work them into some tasty recipes.
General admission is $12, senior and active military members can get in for $8 and children up to 12 years old can enter strawberry heaven for $5.
And the festival is going green! Just when you thought a festival centered around produce couldn't get any greener, the event is offering eco-friendly transit. A
free shuttle will transport festival-goers from select spots along the 101 Freeway.
Be sure to go early because this festival draws berry-lovers from across the state!
