Woman Creates Safe Home For Child Abuse Victims

LAKE FOREST (CBS) ― Lauri Burns knows about child abuse ... and first hand.

But instead of cursing the darkness, this Lake Forest woman is creating light.

She is working on renovating a six-bedroom home for emancipated kids and victims of child abuse...kids who need a new start and a safe place. Her dream is called "The Teen Project."
