The General Mills corporation announced Wednesday that they were recalling various Granola Nut Clusters products over Salmonella fears.
The company believes the source of the contamination to be almonds supplied to them by an unspecified supplier.
The product seemingly most affected are the bite-size granola clusters that are served in vending machines and stores.
Wednesday's recall applies only to the "Nut Lovers" flavor.
The recall covers products with the following "best if used by" dates: March 7, 2010; March 8, 2010; March 9, 2010; March 10, 2010; and March 11, 2010. The company says no illnesses have been reported, and no other Nature Valley products are being recalled.
If you have one of the potentially-tainted products, General Mills recommends you throw it out and contact them about a refund.
