Ventura County Offers H1N1 Vaccine In Simi Valley

Ventura County residents can get the H1N1 vaccine Thursday in a special one-day clinic provided by the Ventura County Health Care Agency's Public Health department.
The clinic will be held in the multi-purpose room of the Rancho Santa Susana Community Center, which is located at 5005-C Los Angeles Avenue in Simi Valley, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The vaccine will be available in both the injectable and FluMist forms and will be administered to those in the high-risk groups.
The high-risk groups include: children between the ages of 6 months to 24-years-of age; caretakers and household contacts of infants under 6 months; pregnant women; and those with high-risk medical conditions, from 25 to 64 years of age.
The vaccine administered at the one-day clinic is available only for Ventura County residents.
