O.C. Man To Run Barefoot To Help Kids Get Shoes

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― Orange County's green guru is about to run Santa Barbara's streets barefoot to raise money for those who need shoes.

Casey Cochran, Green Guide Network's CEO, will run Dec. 6 in the Santa Barbara Marathon in support of TOMS Shoes, which raises awareness and provides shoes to children in need around the world. Cochran hopes to put over 1,0000 pairs of shoes on kids' feet with help from his sponsors and supporters' donations.

Those who want to support Cochran can do it in one of two ways – buy a pair of TOMSshoes via Casey's link or donate any amount of money to Friends of TOMS, a non-profit dedicated to eradicating Podoconiosis, a disease that plagues those who walk barefoot in silica-rich soil.
