Home Loan Scheme Leaves Winnetka Family Homeless
WINNETKA, Calif. (CBS) ―
The Arteaga family of Winnetka is now homeless after being scammed by a man who said he could modify their home loan.
Of course with the family thinking this is a great opportunity in such hard times, they gave him their life savings of $12,000 in August to get the process started.
The man took off and the family hasn't heard from him since. Their home was foreclosed and they were evicted.
