Garden Grove Sets Up Discounts For Local Shoppers

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. (CBS) ― The city of Garden Grove wants residents to stay in town when it comes to holiday shopping

The city is launching the "Buy in Garden Grove" program. Shoppers patronizing local businesses listed on the city's website can say the magic phrase – "Buy in Garden Grove" and get a discount.

City officials say the program supports local businesses and keeps important sales tax dollars at home.
