Study Finds That Lifestyle Changes May Prevent 1/3 Of Cancers In The United States
LOS ANGELES (CBS) ―
In a sweeping report, the World Cancer Research Fund and American Institute For Cancer Research say eating healthy, being active and keeping body fat low may prevent up to one-third of common cancers in the United States. The percentage of preventable cancers is below:
38 % of breast cancers
45 % of colorectal cancers
36 % of lung cancers
39 % of pancreatic cancers
47 % of stomach cancers
69 % of esophageal cancers
63 % of cancers of the mouth, pharynx, larynx cancers
70 % of endometrial cancers
24 % of kidney cancers
21 % of gallbladder
15 % liver cancers
11 % of prostate cancers
