Bill Aims To Aid Patients' Undergoing Mastectomies

If passed, the Bill would require health care providers to up to 48-hour hospital stays for patients undergoing mastectomies, lumpectomies, and lymph node dissections.

The Breast Cancer Patient Protection Act of 2009 aim is to require that insurance companies provide coverage for a minimum hospital stay for for the treatment of breast cancer and coverage of secondary consultations.
The procedures include: mastectomies, lumpectomies, and lymph node dissections.
