Websites To Help Find Free Things To Do In L.A.

(CBS) Here are all of the excellent websites we mentioned on-air for finding free things to do in Los Angeles!

Goldstar
Website features discounted event tickets - ranging from free to 50% off.  You must sign up to search the website, but registration is free.

LAist
The LA-centric website features two columns that often feature free things to do in the city.
"Pencil This In" is published weekdays at 1 PM.
"Get Out" is published weekend mornings at 9 AM.

LAokay
The site isn't pretty but there is some great information under the "Free" category.  Check out the website or call the number before you take advantage of the offer - some of the information might be out of date.

TV Show Tapings
Who said you have to be an out-of-towner to see a live TV show taping?  There are dozens of shows taping on any given week, and they need audiences to fill those seats and contribute to the laugh track.  Check any minimum age requirements before bringing the kids.

Experience LA
As the official cultural calendar of LA county, it has the most expansive list of free things to do.  Use the pull down menu to sort by "Free Admission", then sort by category and/or region.  You'll find something to do!
