Gadget Helps You Avoid Overweight Baggage Fees

No more wondering if your luggage is going to cost you extra at the airport weight-in!  Balanzza is a hand held scale for a quick check before you head out the door.

All you do is clip the strap to your luggage handle and lift.  Balanzza will beep after a few seconds to indicate it's gotten a weight reading.  Set your luggage down and look at the display for a quick indication of whether you're good to go...or if you need to reassess all those extra outfits.

Airlines generally allow a luggage piece of up to 50 pounds for free - although American is trying to change that by charging $15 even for the first piece of luggage.  Overweight luggage fees range from $50 to $100, so Balanzza could pay for itself the first time it catches you overpacking!
