After months of waiting, it's finally here.
About 2,000 H1N1 flu shots have arrived at Chapman University in Orange.
On Monday, hundreds took advantage of it on the first day of a free clinic strictly for students.
That's what freshman Navin Kheterpal did.
"Swine flu's been going around, I literally just found out maybe 10 minutes ago one of my friends had it so a bunch of my friends texted me to go get the shot," he said. "Didn't hurt at all, just good to be safe."
With more than 1,700 students living on campus, health officials say they need to take advantage this clinic.
"They should take it seriously especially since they are in that population that is at high risk just not having properly been exposed to this virus previously, so I think students who have been sick and who have roommates who have been sick definitely came over," said Jacqueline Deats, director of health services.
Right now, the clinic is open only to students. Later this week, faculty and staff can get the vaccine.
It's first come first serve with this vaccine in such high demand.
The school also set up hand sanitizer stations in all the dorms and many of the large campus buildings to slow the spread of H1N1.
