Scott, Crenshaw

James, O.J. Mayo or Kevin Love?

JW: Mayo is sure going at an elite level right now. Kevin won the awards, but don't discount what OJ has done, especially in the second half of the season.  They play two different positions and there are few other players I would rather have than those guys.

Candice, Northridge
No way the Trojans get a 4 seed! ESPN has them as a 7.. You are such a Trojan homer.

JW: I went to North Carolina. It doesn't matter to me because I think everyone is playing for second place next to my Heels!

Lendale, Lakewood

The Bruins lost just two games in PAC-10 play, The best conference in America! They are staying in Anaheim as a one seed regardless, right?

JW: The ACC is pretty strong at the top and the Big East is legit... But UCLA can't afford to lose to USC on Friday.

Nick, Lake Balboa-

Notre Dame and Northridge are my schools! I see you're high on my Irish, but what about the Ridge?  Can we see a Red Rally in March Madness?

JW: Love your 818 enthusiasm! Although I don't get how you can be a Notre Dame and Northridge fan! I'll let it slide. Braz is a great coach at CSUN but that tourney is so tough to win. Whomever gets the bid from that conference will be a MAJOR problem for their opponent.

Douglas, Fairbanks, Alaska

Worthy! Why don't more players wear goggles out there? I'm a Cal alum and pretty upset with Ben Braun. Should he go? Who else is out there?

JW: Randy Bennett from Saint Mary's is out there! But Cal has a coach. Switching coaches is never an easy thing to do, but look at WSU and ASU. They got new coaches and are serious contenders. I think a fresh start may be what Cal needs.

he brackets before South Alabama's loss today. Look, USC is rolling right now. I actually put them as a 4-seed. I know I'm going to get some slack on that, but give me an argument to put any of my 5-seeds ahead of them! Of course, all bets are off if they fall to ASU on Thursday.

While I'm on the PAC-10... UCLA,STAN,USC,WSU,ASU,UO are going dancing. I can't put the Wildcats in the tourney unless they win two games at Staples Center. ASU has a better conference record and swept the Wildcats. Plus, ASU has a better non-conference win then UA.

Serena, Reseda

No chance for two Big West teams?

JW: Serena, come on! CSUN, Fullerton and UCSB all have had very good season. Let's not go crazy here!

Angel, Arcadia
I'm a Lobo, New Mexico Class of '97. Why do so many projections have them as a bubble team or out?

JW: You got me on that one! I have no idea. They are in and shouldn't sweat one bit. Mountain West will get three teams.

Marillyn, Porter Ranch
Do you think  the committee will look at UCLA's two wins over the Bay Area schools and sorta punish them for the controversy? I would hate the Bruins to be shipped out.

JW: A win is a win, Villanova's the team that has the biggest complaint this season about officiating. Too bad that may cost them a bid too. UCLA will be a 1 or a 2 out here.

Gil, Sherman Oaks
UCLA had an RPI of 2 last season and still got a 2 seed. How important is RPI?

JW: For some reason it is important. ESPN's Jay Bilas said it best when Kentucky's RPI went up when they lost by 40 to Vandy. The PAC-10's RPI is taking a beating because of Oregon State.
