Dodger Fans Told To Beat Traffic For NLCS Game 1
LOS ANGELES (CBS) ―
Dodger fans taking themselves out to the opening game of the National League Championship Series might want to leave early to avoid afternoon rush hour traffic.
Dodger officials are advising fans to arrive 2 ½ hours early for the game against the Philadelphia Phillies. Parking stadium gates open at 2:30 p.m. and first pitch is set for 5:07 p.m.
A limited number of seats are available for Thursday's game and Friday's Game 2 of the best-of-seven series, according to Dodgers vice president of communications Josh Rawitch. Both games are expected to sell out.
The Dodgers are trying to win their first National League pennant since 1988. Their 20 consecutive seasons without a pennant matches the longest streak in the team's 120-season history.
This is the first time that the Dodgers and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have both been in their respective league championship series in the same year. The Angels are scheduled to begin the American League Championship Series Friday against the New York Yankees in New York.
