Coach Tom Cable says he believes his future entails coaching the Oakland Raiders despite allegations that he assaulted his former wife and girlfriend.
Cable declined to respond to any specific questions Monday about whether he has an anger management issue following the allegations from his first wife and former girlfriend on ESPN that he physically abused them at various times during their relationships. Cable says he has not talked about the allegations with owner Al Davis or NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
Cable says he is the coach of the Raiders and that he thought "my future is to be the coach of the Raiders."
Cable says his focus during the bye week will be improving an offense that is a big reason for Oakland's 2-6 start.
