Ramon Eduardo Rodas Gaspar, a nurse's assistant, faces charges of molesting a half-dozen recovering surgery patients at the Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center. A warrant was issued for him after he failed to show up for a court hearing. The amended complaint filed charges Gaspar with 11 counts of sexual battery and penetration by a foreign object for allegedly assaulting six victims in their hospital rooms. He was initially charged with three counts involving two alleged victims, but more came forward when police sought public help in the case. Gaspar worked at the hospital for about two years. He pleaded not guilty to the original charges and was released on bail.
