Hall of Famer Fred Biletnikoff of the Oakland Raiders greets fans before the Class of 2008 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony Canton, Ohio. In July 2009, a federal judge threw out the murder conviction of the confessed killer of Biletnikoff's daughter Tracey in 1999. Mohammed Haroon Ali, then Tracey's boyfriend, confessed to killing Biletnikoff's daughter but later plead not guilty at a jury trial in San Mateo two years later. A three-judge panel in 2009 decided Ali should get a new trial because prosecutors excused the only two blacks in the jury pool. Ali's retrial date has not been announced. Tracey Biletnikoff was 20 at the time of her strangulation murder.
