The "Godfather of Gospel," beloved Brooklyn pastor Timothy Wright, was badly hurt in a July 2008 car crash that also claimed the life of his wife, Betty, and 14-year-old grandson, DJ. Wright succumbed to his injuries from the crash in April 2009. He was 61. The wrong-way driver who caused the crash on I-80 in Pennsylvania also died.
