An investigation was under way Sunday into what caused a fire at Pacoima Middle School.

An alarm went off at 9:21 p.m. Saturday at the school on the 9900 block of North Laurel Canyon Blvd., Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman, Shawn Lenske, said.

A one-room bungalow was engulfed in flames when crews arrived, but firefighters were able to put it out within 10 minutes, Lenske said.

No injuries were reported.
