Female Ex-Teacher Admits To Lewd Act With Minor

LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (AP) ― A former Lake Elsinore high school teacher could face one to three years in prison after pleading guilty to molesting a student.

Franca Munoz-Juvera pleaded guilty on Friday to committing a lewd act with a minor. Authorities say she had an affair with a 16-year-old girl in the fall of 2006. The 27-year-old Rancho Cucamonga woman will be sentenced next month and will have to register as a sex offender.

Munoz-Juvera's twin sister and another woman pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of being accessories after the fact for helping the former math teacher spend the night with the girl.

The teen's father went to authorities after discovering the relationship.
