2 Water Main Ruptures Cause Delays, Detours

LOS ANGELES (CBS) ―

Water Main Break In Studio City:

A 62-inch city truck line broke Saturday under Coldwater Canyon Avenue south of Ventura Boulevard. As a result, the following detours should be expected:
-- Motorists should avoid using Coldwater Canyon Avenue, between Mulholland Dr. and Ventura Blvd. due to Coldwater Canyon road closure between Halkirk Street and Ventura Blvd in both directions.
-- Coldwater Canyon is also closed Southbound direction between Moorpark St. and Ventura Blvd. 

Open Streets:
-- Northbound lanes on Coldwater Canyon between Moorpark St. and Ventura Blvd remain open.

Detour Signs:
Detour signs and traffic officers will be at the following intersections on Tuesday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM:

-- Moorepark St and Coldwater Canyon
-- Ventura Blvd and Coldwater Canyon
-- Ventura Blvd and Alcove Ave
-- Halkirk St and Coldwater Canyon.

Detour Suggestions:
To get over the hill between the San Fernando Valley and the Los Angeles Basin:
-- Detour through side streets around the Coldwater closure.
-- On the Westside of Coldwater, Moorpark to Fulton to Van Noord.
-- On the Eastside, drivers can take Moorpark to Whitsett to Little Alcove Street or avoid Coldwater altogether and take Beverly Glen.

Water Main Break in Valley Village:
A 6-inch water main ruptured in Valley Village early Tuesday morning on Hartsook Street in the San Fernando Valley. As a result, the following detours should be expected:
-- Hartsook Street is closed.
