Pop culture icon and actress Farrah Fawcett lost her battle with anal cancer on Thursday. She passed away at the age of 62 at Saint John's Hospital in Santa Monica. The following are condolences from our viewers to her friends and family.
My heart goes out to you all for your loss. Farrah seems like she was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Most of all that I was jazzed about was that she really believed in God and spent time praying. Jesus really does love all of you with abandon, just like He does Farrah. The media really has done a disservice to Farrah, but we haven't forgotten!
- Connie W.
I would like to say to Farrah's family and friends, in particular Redmond, Farrah's Father, Ryan, and Alana, how very sorry I am for your loss. My heart felt heavy on Thursday when I heard of her passing. I watched her documentary and something she said will stay with me always,"I realize now that I didn't appreciate my life". I will try to appreciate every day of my life as a tribute to her. I lost my Mom 3 years ago today to colon cancer. The tears stream down my face, as they are now, because I miss her so much. I know Redmond is going to need all the strength he can get. Farrah was very fortunate to have all of you. Thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
- Sheila H.
Farrah has held a special place in my heart for years...and I idolized her since the beginning, she was to the 70's that Marilyn was to the 60's I offer my condolences to her family and her friends. I am 45 years old and I feel like a part of me is missing....you are home now Farrah no pain. You are our timeless and priceless treasure.
- Karen H.
When I was in college, every girl, myself included, wanted to look like Farrah, every guy wanted to date her. She was the most uniquely beautiful woman to me. She showed us she was made of so much more than that, as is often true with iconic figures. I am so sorry she lost her long, brave fight to live... may she be in a better place. My heartfelt thoughts go out to her loved ones.
- Amy
Many blessings to Farrah's family and friends. She was a lovely lady. Her documentary was most impressive and made us all wish for a recovery. Farrah is now with God and can be forever an angel watching over Redmond and Ryan. God Bless you all.

Farrah! For a 22 year old girl in 1974 was an inspiration. I copied her hair. Dreamed of being as beautiful and talented. Then life's course drifted through. Marriages, Children, Career...and 35 years later in her passing I acknowledge her influence. Love her as a human being. Envy her love with Ryan and am touched, moved and inspired by Farrah's whole well lived, well loved life. Rest in Peace Beautiful Woman.
- Lesley S.
My deepest condolences and sympathy to Farrah, and her family. May you rest in peace, and find happiness with your guardian angel.
- Melanie D.
I was lucky enough to meet Farrah 31 years ago when I was eleven years old. She had come to the Hilton in Tehran, Iran, to visit with her then brother-in-law (Lee Majors brother), whom had a heart attack while living there. I was there with my family, Americans too, and we were waiting for a plane out to return to America. Farrah was so beautiful, just amazing from the inside out, I sensed she was special even at that young age I was. She was kind to me, talking with me by the pool and we went together to her hotel room and put on makeup together!!! We also all had dinner together one night, my parents, me and her and Lee. She was not afraid to just be herself, and she was very "real", not all about herself like you expect such a star to be. She did not have to give me the time of day, but I could tell she really wanted to. Thank you Farrah for such wonderful memories, I have always told people about this and I know there are so many more just regular people like me you touched. I'm wishing comfort for your family and friends during this difficult time. God Bless You and Love from Tiffany, the little girl from the pool!!!
- Tiffany

Ryan, at the end of each day light a candle for Farrah and remember what a gift she was to those who where lucky enough to be a part of her life. And as you blow it out thank her for the beautiful memories she made with you and ask God to hold you in the palm of his hand to help you through this time of sorrow.

- Vicki Fawcett-Adams
Dear Fawcett Family, As I'm reasonably sure you're aware, at a time as this, our only real comfort comes from our God in heaven. After all the good-bys, all the I'm sorry's-- is when the healing of our Lord Yahweh Rophe steps into high gear. Please give yourself time to properly grieve and don't make rush decisions. I've "been there and done that". However,I can truly say that no matter what, God will be with you every step of the way. Just "hold to his unchanging hand". With much love
- Angie

I'm 55yrs. Born, raised in Burbank. At 19yrs. I saw Farrah on the cover of a magazine. I had no idea who she was. I took the mag. to the hairdresser and my life was changed. I was fabulous. It changed my life. We will miss that gorgeous woman who was not only beautiful on the outside but the inside too. She was a great example for us beautiful blondes who are intelligent. Who will I track now? That soft feminine voice of intelligence that did not act inappropriate. She was not a drama queen. I have lost an icon to me on how to age beautifully. In 2005 I had a snow skiing accident and became a paraplegic. My husband said why not be the most beautiful girl in a wheel chair. I have lost a leading example of how to do that. She had words of wisdom for all of us fighting to remain alive, healthy, intelligent, and in control of our destiny. I will miss that bright star to follow and give me strength.
- Karen S.
My prayers and thoughts go out to Farrah's family. I am so sorry for your loss. I thought she was a beautiful woman! I watched everything she was in. I even have a Farrah doll still to this day and I am 47. Such a loss but she is in no more pain. Focus on your moments spent with her and you will see her again. Thanks
- Lisa S.
This is so sad. I pray for her family and hope she is at peace. She put a face on a terrible disease. She will be greatly missed.
- Yvette
To Farrah's beloved family and friends: Farrah Fawcett was a brave and graceful lady who made choices in her professional and personal life that touched so many of us. Her performance in "The Burning Bed" opened the door to talking about domestic abuse at the time it was so hushed up. Her honesty and willingness to share what she was going through throughout her illness has and will continue to help many. Our prayers and our sincere condolences on your loss.
- Pam and Ralph C. and family

I understand that the memory of Farrah will long be tainted by the memory of her illness and that you will miss her so much. It will become easier some days, while other days will still be hard. Keep her memory with you and cherish her forever.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I am a 35 yr old woman, and although I haven,t personally experienced a loss from cancer. my soon to be husband has. Last year he lost his mother who had battled cancer for 12 yrs. It was a very emotional time. Now a year later he still can't understand why the lord took her from this world. Hers began as breast cancer and spread from there. Like all people there does need to be more knowledge about this. I'll keep your family in my prayers. If more people could embrace those who are fighting this or fighting to find a cure. Then all who are effected by it would have hope.
- Tammie

Farrah was a regular down in Venice beach in the 70s when I lived there, she'd swim after her workout at the paddle tennis courts where no one would leave her alone. It was the kind that only had the head and shoulders; which was made so that little girls could style her hair and make-up, etc. The doll really made me a happy child because I was the only child with one on my entire street. I had more friends because of that beautiful doll. May God bless a "Beautiful Soul" Farrah Fawcett.

I'm 43 years old and I grew up watching her, this beautiful American Icon! There aren't enough words to describe the feelings we all share about Farrah. She laid it all out for everyone to see in her story on national tv. She had gumption, guts, grit and determination and so much love and passion to give! She was a beautiful person inside and out and such a wonderful role model, companion and mother. She will be truly missed by all of us. She truly is an Angel. God Bless you, Ryan, Redmond and the rest of your family and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always.
- Annette N., Georgia
Dear Ryan, Redmond, Alana and others who loved Farrah so dearly. She was a beautiful, sweet spirited lady whose beauty dominated my generation, yet she never seemed arrogant or vain as so many of today's 'beauties'. And waht an inspiration to those battling cancer, as someone very close to me is. Her grace and dignity never left her. I pray that God will bring you a sense of peace and comfort over the coming weeks. Take comfort in Him, for she is resting with Him now.
- Melissa
Farrah was a brave person. She was an inspiration. Farrah is now at peace. So sorry for your loss.

To many men, in our younger years, Farrah was an icon of beauty, kindness, and the most loving smile that everyone else would be compared to. In our current years, she remained those icons, and added the depths of courage, love of life, and the epitome of strength in facing the challenges that life threw at her, and at us all. Her battles, her love of friends and family, and her unwavering desire to fight are an inspiration to anyone and everyone that dares to have called themselves a fan, admirer, or friend. The world has become a darker place with the passing of her life, but she added to the light of those remaining close to her in mind and spirit - therefore, because those she touched pass that light on to those around them, her light will never be extinguished. I pray for the strength of everyone touched by her to continue to carry that light in her name, and in the names of the fellow cancer fighters still amongst us.
- J. Jacob
Our prayers go to Farrah's family, her beauty, bravery, and talents will not be forgotten.
- Marcia S.
To Farrah's loved ones. My deepest condolences to everyone on the passing of Farrah. I so admired her courage and determination with her sickness. I myself just lost my brother to cancer at 52 years old and he also fought the battle with the same courage. At least their physical pain is over but we now have the unbearable pain to live without them. Let her soul rest in peace and watch over her son and loved ones.
- Lisa D.

From the time I was a little girl, I remember her on the Charlies Angels show. I used to watch it like clock work, even anything she was in i watched. How fitting now that the "Angel" is with God. Maybe thats why she got the part, because she will be a true angle now. Her beautiful smile, her life was remarkable and one to take respect on. Warmed your heart when she did anything. I have never in my life seen just a beautiful lady. She would have looked great even in her 70's. I know what its like to lose someone with cancer or just lose someone you cared deeply about. All my live to you and your family in this time of need. Your in my prayers. God bless.

I am from a very small community in Oregon. This weekend we had our 24 hour walk to fight cancer. We hold a luminaria ceremony at night to remember those we have lost and honor those who are survivors. I wanted you to know we payed tribute to Farrah and lit a luminaria for her and your family. We also honored Patrick Swayze for his continued battle. We all will miss Farrah, but she left her courage and we will continue her fight to find a cure.

I am terribly sorry for the passing of Farrah. She will always be remembered in my heart. I am 45 years old and when I was a young girl wanted to be just like Farrah as I'm sure every girl did. As young girls we would play games and pretend we were "Charlie's Angels". We would all argue as to who would be Farrah, so we would take turns. I'm sure Farrah is a real angel now. Deepest Sympathy on your loss.
- Maureen C.

Farrah was such a huge icon when I was growing up. I remember going to the theater to see "Somebody Killed Her Husband" on opening day. It saddens me that she was taken from us so soon.
- Logan Indianapolis
I have been a longtime fan of Farrah's since I was a young girl. In fact, while packing items for a move two months ago, I found the poster of Farrah (red bathing suit) as well as a set of mugs featuring different pictures of her. I had bought these from my allowance money while in grades chool & have kept them over the years. I am now 43 yrs old...what a wonderful memory to have found of Farrah! These are very sentimental to me & have traveled with me during my high school & college years as well my first home purchase. They remain in a storage tub labeled "Sentimental" along with many other cherished memories. She was my idol. I so enjoyed "Farrah's Story" as it was honest, inspirational & showed her true character & such grace. Farrah will be missed by so many. I will have my fond memories of Farrah...the actress, the brave woman she was & the classy icon she will always remain. I wish her family much peace & healing during this time.
- Kelly R.

She was a beautiful woman- both inside and out. Her performance in The Burning Bed was riveting. She was beautiful AND talented. This is such a loss to the world and too your family.
- Tina and Harvey G.
I was raising 2 little girls when "The Angels" hit the TV screen. What a breath of fresh air. As a single mom, Farrah became sort of a role model for me, during some VERY rough times. Watching her and reading about her calmed me so could focus on crucial issues as I raised my girls. I wasn't obsessed! She was also a very amazing fine artist and sculptor and that's what I was trying to do. Even though our lives were very different, she still helped. I had her poster on the wall and even my girls forgot their troubles when Farrah came on the screen. She was never afraid to take chances to get what she needed and for someone like me, who was frightened about taking chances, her character helped me fight those fears and accomplish wonderful things in my life! She was and always will be in all three of our hearts. We're heartbroken. We love you Farrah, always will!
- Pegi
To Redmond, please stay strong and know that one day you will be reunited with her in Heaven where real angels live. Farrah will always remain in our hearts hear on earth, but I know that she is now in Heaven with no pain and suffering. God bless you all.
- Peggy in Jacksonville Florida
You were one of Charlie's Angels now you are one of Gods angels. Rest well in Heaven

- Janet
Prayers to all Farrah's family, may she rest in peace.

I am so saddened for Farrah's family and friends. She fought a brave battle and I know how much she loved life just by watching her with loved ones. I too, am living with multiple myeloma. I can fully relate with Farrah's struggles. Remember, love never dies. She seemed to have so much love for life that I'm sure she will always surround her family and beloved friends. Stay strong and remember her legacy of love for you all.
- Linda H.
My condolences to Ryan and Redmond. We were very saddened to hear of her passing. I have followed her fight with cancer and glad to hear that she and Ryan had reunited. It broke my heart that they did not marry before her passing. Rest in peace Farrah!!

Farrah was an amazing lady, beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside.

- Judy
Farrah was the true definition of an "Angel". Her smile showed her joy, love of life, and purity. She was always a vibrant lovely woman surrounded by a pure light. Without Ryan O'Neal at her side, she seemed incomplete. But when her and Ryan were together - they were complete. They were one when they were together on screen and off. I truly believe that they were Soul Mates. My heart breaks for Ryan, Redmond, her friends, and family. But she will never leave you - you will sense her presence around you and feel her love, smell her pure essence. She was a truly wonderful person and a very bright star who will be truly missed by all who loved her and adored her on and off the screen. May GOD grant her and all those she loved peace. God Bless you all! I will keep Farrah and all of you in my prayers.
- Sherry O.

No matter how hard we try to prepare for the inevitable, we are never truly ready when the time comes to say goodbye to a loved one. Life is different, but we have our options as to how we go on living. We can be a victim and let grief become our constant companion, or we can move on with joy and peace, remembering Farrah's life, her wonderful qualities that made Farrah who she was up until the very end. Let the memories of happiness and good times become the focus that keeps you motivated to live life to its fullest each and every day. I have been where you are and it gets better; time does heal. As a principal and teacher of a Christian school, I tell my kids each day, This is the day the Lord has made, don't mess it up. You have the choice and the power to make it a good day or not so good. Our Heavenly Father has promised to never leave us and to be with us through all things good and bad, because in the end we are stronger than we ever thought we could be. I pray that you and Redmond will take comfort that Farrah is out of her suffering and pain, but her spirit will always be a part of you. She was one of a kind and will be missed. May God's angels of mercy watch over you and lift you up in your darkest hours and May God bless you in ways that you never dreamed possible.
- Linda K.
I actually remember her doing the commercials with Joe Namath & Ultra Bright before becoming one of Charlies Angels... what an icon! It's so sad that she had to leave us but I know that she is in a much better place and that she suffers no more. She was very brave during her fight. My sympathy & prayers go out to her entire family.
- Tia G. - Huntingtown, MD

Dear Ryan and Redmond, I met Farrah while working at "Judy's" in Sherman Oaks back in '77. I waited on her and was very impressed by how sweet and down to earth she was. To Ryan & Red; Farrah's Father & Family,... My deepest sympathies to your family at this time of transition. What does not breaks us, makes us very strong. Through the low valleys seem at their worst; those are the moments we most grow. Farrah's un-wavering Faith and her gentle heart will always be remembered in my heart as who she was. She was what I referred to as "Life". Her smile was and is an endless reminder of that Life. My prayers to you are to grieve, to learn and to move on with memory and motive.
- With Faith, Sherri
Farrah tried to show the world what a monster cancer is and I think by doing this she was trying to help other people and maybe get people to donate money to research. I admired her fight as I am fighting for my life as well. I try to educate people just as she did. I know I will suffer the same fate, just as she knew. Let's not let her loss and her struggle happen in vain, let's all do what we can to help. I didn't know you Farrah, but I admired you very much. To the family - God bless.
- Linda T.
One of my first childhood memories was sneaking to the basement to watch Charlies Angels because it was on past my bedtime. Even I had Farrah's famous calendar on my wall as a young girl. For me she will always be a true American Icon. Farrah connected with so many people with her happy, carefree attitude. She will be deeply missed by those who only knew her on TV. My thoughts are with her family and friends who have lost someone truly special in their lives. She expressed such love for her only child. I hope he will have the same strength as his mother and make decisions that will make her proud.

I am so sad to hear of Farrah's passing. I have the same type of cancer, stage 4. She has been the source of inspiration and motivation through some dark days. She showed in her final years what she'd exuded throughout her life: Grace, dignity, humor, vulnerability and intelligence. My condolences to her loved ones. I have a 4 year old son, and I know well the torture it is for a mother to know that she won't be able be there to share her beloved son's life. I wish for Redmond that he comes out of all of these difficult times and lives a healthy, happy life. I'm sure that would mean everything to his mother. May she rest in peace. She leaves an un-fillable void.
