3.7 Quake Rattles San Diego County Desert Area
BORREGO SPRINGS, Calif. (AP) ―
An earthquake has rattled the San Diego County desert but there are no reports of damage or injuries.
The U.S. Geological Survey says a quake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.7 struck at 5:10 a.m. Monday.
It was centered six miles southwest of unincorporated Ocotillo Wells and 14 miles from Borrego Springs.
The epicenter was about 60 miles northeast of San Diego.
It's a sparsely populated area near the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.
The San Diego County Sheriff's Department says there were no reports of damage or injuries.
