3.6 Quake Recorded Off Humboldt County Coast

EUREKA, Calif. (AP) ― An earthquake off the Humboldt County coast shook things up a bit Wednesday morning, but authorities say there are no reports of injuries or damage.

The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude 3.6 quake hit a little after 4:00 about 22 miles southwest of Eureka, or about 15 miles west of Fortuna.

A dispatcher at the Eureka Police Department described the quake as a "slight rattle."
