Moderate Quake Shakes Riverside County

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (CBS) ― The U.S. Geological Survey says a moderate earthquake struck Saturday night about 18 miles southwest of Palm Springs.

The magnitude 3.5 quake struck at 9:54 p.m., about 8 miles south of Idyllwild and 13 miles southeast of Valle Vista.

The Palm Springs police said there was no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
