3.0 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Baja Calif.

OCOTILLO, Calif. (AP) ― Another small earthquake has jarred the Mexican border but there are no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

The U.S. Geological Survey says a magnitude 3.0 quake hit shortly after 3 Saturday morning. It was centered 18 miles southeast of Mexicali in Baja California.

That's the same area where two quakes measuring 4.8 and 4.4 hit minutes apart Friday morning, prompting evacuation of 65 Baja schools.

The area has been jolted with a series of earthquakes all week, including a magnitude 5.0 shaker on Tuesday, but no injuries have been reported.
