2 Small Earthquakes Hit San Bernardino County

FONTANA, Calif. (AP) ― A pair of small earthquakes have shaken San Bernardino County but there are no immediate reports of any damage or injuries.

A quake estimated at magnitude 3.9 and centered six miles north of Fontana hit at 1:22 a.m. Sunday morning according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was followed by a magnitude 3.1 quake two minutes later and one mile to the south.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputy Kristi Avila says the quake was felt throughout the area and the department had received a handful of calls, but there were no reports of injuries or damage.
