Magnitude 3.7 Earthquake Hits Central California

SOLEDAD, Calif. (AP) ― A small earthquake has struck the Central Valley, but there are no immediate reports of injuries or damages.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude-3.7 earthquake hit shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday. It was centered about 5 miles northwest of Avenal and 129 miles southeast of San Jose.

A dispatcher with Kings County Sheriff's Department says there are no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
