Magnitude-2.2 Earthquake Rattles Santa Monica

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (CBS) ― A 2.2 Magnitude earthquake reportedly struck Santa Monica at 9:08 p.m. Saturday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Residents in Santa Monica reported feeling a hefty jolt.

The epicenter of the earthquake was reportedly located three milies south of southwest Santa Monica.

The quake was felt mostly in Santa Monica, Venice and West Los Angeles.

No other information was immediately available.
