CALEXICO, Calif. (AP) ― An estimated 5.0-magnitude earthquake centered in northern Baja California has shaken the U.S.-Mexico border region east of San Diego.

The Imperial County Sheriff's Department says there have been no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck at 2:41 p.m. Tuesday about 21 miles southeast of the U.S. border city of Calexico.

The quake is the latest in a swarm that has been going on for days and was followed in minutes by aftershocks between magnitude 3.1 and 3.7.
