Magnitude-3.2 Earthquake Rattles Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) ― A 3.2-magnitude earthquake has struck a sparsely populated area near Bakersfield but there are no reports of injuries or damage.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the minor temblor struck at 3:35 a.m. Tuesday and was centered 10 miles north-northwest of Bakersfield.

A dispatcher for the Kern County Sheriff's Office said she did not feel the quake and had not received any calls because of it.

Bakersfield is 110 miles north of Los Angeles.
