Former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush have canceled February appearances in Los Angeles and New York because a promoter wrongly billed it as a debate.
Clinton spokesman Matt McKenna confirmed Monday the canceled events include a Feb. 22 appearance in Universal City and another one three days later at Radio City Music Hall in New York.
McKenna says the promoter for both appearances inaccurately billed them as debates when, in fact, they were moderated panel discussions. He says there's been no talk about rescheduling the events.
Tickets for the Los Angeles appearance were to have gone on sale this week at $75 to $125. The event was sponsored by the American Jewish University.
Clinton and Bush did make a joint appearance in Toronto in May.
