3 Dogs Die After Eating Suspected Poisoned Meat

ALHAMBRA, Calif. (CBS) ― Authorities are seeking information Tuesday about the death of three dogs in a possible poisoning in Alhambra.

Police responded to a home in the 1400 block of West Ramona Road.

The dogs were found unresponsive at about 5:30 a.m. Monday inside the owner's fenced yard, police said.

A white powder covered what appeared to be meat and was found next to the dogs, Alhambra Police Sgt. Brandon Black said.

Other dogs in the neighborhood were not harmed, Black said.

The suspected poisoned meat was sent in for further testing and analysis.

If anyone has information about the incident, call Alhambra Police Dispatch at (626) 570-5151.
