Sheriff's Dog Recovering After Ingesting Drugs

MOORPARK (CBS) ― A dog from the Ventura County Sheriff's K9 unit was recovering Monday after an accidental drug overdose.

The canine, Balu, apparently ingested some of the methamphetamine it sniffed out during an overnight drug bust in Moorpark.

Balu suffered a seizure and was being hospitalized in Thousand Oaks.
