Another Slain Cat Found In La Quinta
LA QUINTA
Another dead cat was found Monday under suspicious circumstances in North La Quinta, authorities said.
The cat was reportedly found near the intersection of Washington Street and Miles Avenue.
Since the end of May, three other cats have been found slain in La Quinta. A fourth feline was found dead inside the Bermuda Dunes Country Club on Saturday, but that cat may have been killed by an animal, Gregory said.
On June 18, a cat was found disemboweled, its stomach slit open, in front of its owner's residence in the 44000 block of Foxtail Circle, the resident told police.
Another gutted cat was found May 30 along Desert Stream Drive near La Quinta Park, and a feline was found fatally shot May 29 in the gated community of Starlight Dunes, according to Gregory.
All four of the North La Quinta cat slayings happened within a one-mile radius of one another.
