A powerful earthquake struck off the western coast of Sumatra Island on Monday, triggering a tsunami warning, agencies said. Hours later, a strong aftershock hit the same faultline.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said "there was a very small possibility" of a tsunami following the second quake, which the U.S. Geological Survey said had an initial magnitude of 6.7.
Indonesian authorities did not issue an alert.
