Walgreens Offers Free Healthcare For Unemployed
LOS ANGELES (CBS) ―
With the nation's unemployment rate at a 25-year high, the highest since 1983, a wide range of employers across the nation have eliminated an estimated 2 million jobs.
When you lose your job, one of the biggest setbacks can be also losing your health insurance.
Walgreens has just started a new program that offers free health care services at it's Walgreens clinics.
Here are the details:
You must have lost your job on or after March 31st of this year and have no health insurance. The program will cover the treatment of allergies, colds, strep throat, and skin conditions. It will not cover vaccinations, health evaluations or physicals.
