Soldier From Hawthorne Killed In Afghanistan

Army Sgt. Eduviges Wolf, 25, was assigned to the 704th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, out of Fort Carson, Colo.

A soldier from Hawthorne was killed in Afghanistan after her vehicle was attacked by a rocket-propelled grenade.
Army Sgt. Eduviges Wolf, 25, was fatally injured on Oct. 25 in Kunar province, the U.S. Department of Defense reported.
On Wednesday, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger issued the following statement regarding Wolf's passing:
"Sergeant Eduviges Wolf bravely fought to defend our country overseas. Her honorable service to our country will forever be remembered with great respect. Maria and I send our prayers and sympathies to all of Wolf's loved ones in this time of mourning."
Wolf was assigned to the 704th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, out of Fort Carson, Colo.
