Sandbags Supplied To SoCal Residents During Storm

LOS ANGELES The City of Malibu has stockpiles of sand and sandbags on hand at fire stations for the public to take. Residents are required to bring a shovel in order to fill the sandbags, and the maximum is 25 per property.

Here are street addresses and phone numbers for fire stations in Malibu:

Fire Station #70: 310-317-1802 (3970 Carbon Canyon Rd.)

Fire Station #71: 310-457-2578 (28722 Pacific Coast Highway)

Fire Station #88: 310-456-2812 (23720 Malibu Rd.)

Fire Station #99: 310-457-3706 (32550 Pacific Coast Highway)

The Los Angeles County Department of Beaches and Harbors will also be offering sandbags to beach residents needing help protecting their properties during the storms. Residents can take up to 10 sandbags in a single visit, but will be allowed to return for more supplies as needed.  

The following locations will be supplying sandbags:

Zuma Beach Main Entrance Way and Maintenance Yard (30100 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu)

Will Rogers State Beach (16300 Pacific Coast Highway, Pacific Palisades)

Venice Beach Maintenance Yard and Washington Parking Lot (2300 Ocean Front Walk, Venice Beach)

Dockweiler Beach Main Entrance and Maintenance Yard (8255 Vista Del Mar, Playa del Rey)

Manhattan Beach Maintenance Yard (3621 Strand, Manhattan Beach )

Knob Hill Maintenance Yard (743 Esplanade, Redondo Beach)

Torrance Beach Parking Lot (349 Paseo de la Playa, Torrance)
