Remember that when you REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE you are keeping the enviroment clean for all of us.
REDUCE
- Carpool, use public transportation, walk or bicycle to work or school.
- Wait one day on non-essential purchases to avoid impulse buys.
- Purchase things in bulk quantities, such as one large box of breakfast cereal instead of two small boxes.
- Use one strong light bulb instead of a few low-wattage ones.
- Wash the car with a bucket of water instead of using a water hose.
-
Purchase refillable office items such as mechanical pencils and refillable pens.
REUSE
- Reuse old bags on shopping trips. Keep them in your car or near your door to remember.
- Reuse your old mouse pad as an insulator for placing hot containers that have just been removed from stove or oven.
- Use old clothing as rags for cleaning.
-
Bring a portable mug to the coffee house and to work instead of using disposable cups
RECYCLE
- Purchase recycled products
- Recycle items you don't want anymore by donating them - old toys, clothes, furniture, decor, games, movies, books and tools.
