Kidnapper Forces Woman To Take Him On Drug Run

BANNING A woman kidnapped at gunpoint and forced to drive a parolee to buy crack cocaine Friday managed to escape while the man was inside and call police in Banning, authorities said.

The suspect, Ronnie Goldmas, 27, of Moreno Valley, was arrested at 571 N. Almond St. shortly before 4 a.m., according to Banning police.

He has an outstanding warrant for his arrest on a parole violation and was additionally booked on suspicion of kidnapping, robbery, making criminal threats and being under the influence of drugs, sheriff's jail records indicate.

Goldmas remained in jail Friday without bail, pending arraignment Tuesday, sheriff's jail records show.

Officers were flagged by the woman, who said she had been kidnapped at gunpoint from Almond Street and forced to drive to a home in Banning to buy the drugs, police said.

On the way to the drug den, the suspect forced the victim to give him money, police said.
