Man Fatally Stabbed Outside WeHo Eatery

WEST HOLLYWOOD A man was stabbed to death in West Hollywood outside the popular hangout/sports bar Barney's Beanery early Thursday, authorities said.

The violence broke out in the 8400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard near North Olive Drive around 1:35 a.m., Deputy Denise Fuchs of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau said.

The man, identified Thursday afternoon as 40-year-old Michael McClure, was pronounced dead at a hospital, Fuchs said.

Police say McClure had argued with patrons inside the bar/restaurant and a fight escalated outside.

It was unknown what the fight was about.
