A truck hit a power pole in Northridge Monday, knocking wires to the ground and interrupting electrical service to about 6,400 customers in the area.
The non-injury accident was reported about 6:45 a.m. in the 8700 block of Canby Avenue, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
Some traffic signals were affected in the area, Humphrey said.
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power was notified, and crews restored service to about 5,000 customers by 9:45 a.m., Gale Harris, a spokeswoman for the utility, said.
Crews were working to fully restore service, according to Harris.
