Coachella Bicyclist Fatally Struck By Truck
COACHELLA, Calif.
A bicyclist was struck and killed by a semi-truck in Coachella, but so far no charges were pending against the truck driver, according to a sheriff's sargeant.
The crash occurred about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 46000 block of Dillon Road, said Sgt. Jeronimo Contreras of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department Coachella Station.
The victim, who had been riding his bicycle west on Dillon Road, died at the scene, said Contreras.
There were no arrests, but the crash was still under investigation, he said.
